The Alpha Course helps the curious, the seeker, and even the unbeliever to understand how Christianity addresses the big questions that face us all. Alpha guests explore Christianity in a relaxed, welcoming and engaging atmosphere. There is no question that is out of bounds and there is no one who isn't welcome.

Alpha covers the basics of Christianity. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, and Why did he die? The Alpha course usually lasts 10 weeks, with a day or weekend getaway in the middle. Each week, guests gather for about two hours. They share an informal meal, sing a few songs, listen to a talk on how Christianity approaches the question at hand, then gather into small groups for discussion. The talks each week act as a springboard for small group discussions.

United Baptist Church will be launching our first Alpha Course this fall beginning on September 9 2015 at 6:15 p.m. 

Join us if you have ever wondered why so many people seem attracted to Christianity, or if you really just want a better understanding of what the Christian story is all about. Alpha is a great introduction.
