Pastor

Pastor David Denis is a New Hampshire native. He grew up in Chichester and graduated from Pembroke Academy. He spent 22 years living in the Midwest (IN, MI, and WI) and returned to NH in 2003.
His christian testimony reaches back to when Jesus first took hold of his life at the age of 7, in a Sunday School class at the Advent Christian Church in Pittsfield, NH. Through the years, he has always been actively engaged in serving in churches wherever he lived; leading worship, teaching, preaching, cleaning, and serving on various church boards.
His professional background includes broad experience in sales, training, speaking, and writing. He holds a diploma from Word of Life Bible Institute, and a B.S. with emphases on Communication and Biblical Studies from Grace College in Winona Lake IN.
With a long history of active lay involvement in local church ministry throughout his life, David supplied the pulpit for United Baptist for 8 weeks after Pastor Doyle retired in 2011. In late 2013, after much prayer and thoughtful conversation, United Baptist Church called him to serve as their pastor. David accepted, and his ministry at United Baptist started formally on January 20 2014. Pastor Denis is pursuing an advanced degree, and was ordained for gospel ministry by United Baptist Church in June of 2016.

Director of Music
Jeff Bunker is our Director of Music. Jeff has many years of musical experience playing piano and keyboards in solo, group and congregational settings. At UBC, Jeff acts as our primary accompanist for worship services, as well as directing our choir. Jeff is a skilled and creative accompanist. As a church that values congregational singing, we deeply appreciate Jeff's ability to effectively support the congregation as we sing the praises of God through a wide range of hymns and choruses.
Leadership Committees

As a baptist church, we govern ourselves and determine our own ministry priorities, scheduling, and budget. Our by-laws lay out several committees and boards that take care of the business of running the church.
Deacons - Deacons act as co-shepherds with the Pastor, giving spiritual care and direction to the congregation. They also administer aid to the poor and needy and assist in the serving of communion.
Trustees - Trustees are responsible for the care and maintenance of all the physical structures and equipment owned and used by the church.
Mission Committee - The Missions Committee sets missions priorities, promotes missions within the congregation, leads us in praying for our missionaries, and acts as the representatives of the congregation to keeps up communication with missionaries in the field.
Christian Education - The CE Committee oversees spiritual education, formation and development for both children and adults. The CE Committee oversees Sunday School and Bible Study classes, finds teachers and assist with curriculum and materials.
Hospitality - The Hospitality Committee specifically oversees providing refreshments for business meetings, but their unofficial mandate has grown to include after worship coffee time, and organizing church events like potluck dinners.
